WHO WE ARE

The SK is the basic governing body of the Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK). It is composed of youth leaders elected by their constituents to represent them and deliver expected youth focused services in the barangay. In many occasions, the KK comprises various sectors where the young people in the community are found like students, church-based, interest groups, out-of-school and young professionals.

SK COMMITTEES

Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) committees serve various purposes, addressing specific aspects of youth concerns. These committees focus on the 10 Centers of Youth Participation of PYDP, namely 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡, 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, and 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, aiming to engage and empower the youth in community development. Each committee plays a role in fostering youth participation and addressing their specific needs within the local government context.
